A subsidiary company and an employee of Baogang Group won the Golden Bridge Award for their efforts in technological innovation, reports Baotou Daily.
Beifang Rare Earth Research Institute, wholly-owned by Baogang Group, which is the largest State-owned steel and iron manufacturing company based in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is a research center with expertise in rare earth research and application.
Cao Shengbiao, an employee at a subsidiary company of Baogang Group, won an individual award. Cao is an expert in the research and production of nickel-metal hydride batteries, and has so far undertaken two national key projects and other regional projects.
Hosted by China Technology Market Association, the Golden Bridge Award is granted every two years, with the first one handed out in 2002. It is the top award in the technology market sector in China, aimed at commending companies and individuals that have made prominent contributions in the technology market and encouraging innovation.
